actually there are two of them! I love them!! A Pukeko is a native bird of NZ and my brothers got me one each of these little garden ornaments. They are just adorable.
All in all I was spoiled rotten with some wonderful gifts - more pics below!
Mike made a petit dejeuner brekkie for me which certainly started the day off right!
He had taken the day off work and was working from home so it was lovely to have him around to share my day!
I received some wonderful cards in the mail and e-cards from friends and fellow TLC consultants - the birthday wishes just kept coming!
We both did some work in the morning - and then I had the special treat of someone to come in and do all the housecleaning - YAYY. He and I then sat down and watched a movie together - and while watching he made me a big plate of dates wrapped in bacon for my lunch - which I love!!
A swim around the pool in the afternoon and then when Hannah got home from work we did the presents. I was spoiled rotten!
We were going out to dinner -but Cait was not well. She had had a lot of seizures the
night before, and a couple in the morning and she was just whacked. She slept most of the day and all through the present opening.
We
had decided we were going to Bucca di Beppo for dinner - but I said to
Mike I did not think Cait was really up to it - and she would just be
miserable so I suggested we just got take out - everyone could choose
what they wanted. Cait kept saying she would be okay - and we had to
go because it was my birthday but I told her - it did not bother me at
all, so she was ok.
So Hannah got pizza (no surprise there), Cait got burritos (also no
surprise) and Mike and I had Indian from the place down the road and it
was YUMMO. We all enjoyed just relaxing and having that - and we
watched a movie we have had for a while.
Then we did the birthday
cake which was yummy - and watched a bit more Tv and then off to bed.
All in all a lovely fun relaxing day!
Oh and for those who asked - I am now 21 with 26 years experience!! Holy hello!!! So I am extremely lucky that Mike got me this for my birthday
Now that I am in my dotage - I will be able to sit out on this on the front porch and watch what the neighbours are doing *LOL*
And now pics of the rest of my loot!
Hannah gave me the grinder and coffee beans - will be so nice to have a
decent one - rather than my $12 special from Longs! I have found since I switched to decaf - it is very hard to find ground decaf espresso!

I got a GPS for the car from Caitlin - woo hoo! It is like the Hertz
Neverlost system - the best thing will be when we are travelling and the
traffic is shit - I can plug in a route that avoids all highways!
My parents gave me these gorgeous koru ornaments. The koru is very much a NZ symbol and is used a lot. These are made of hot glass and blown to shape and they have all these wonderful swirls inside them and they are green!!!!!
My Clip it Up - which I bought with my birthday money from my aunt and godmother Shirley. It is a godsend. So nice to see what I have rather than trying to look at it in the folders I had. You just twirl it around. I still have more to put on it - and plan to get on to that this weekend.
