I should have read the reviews before I bought it!  

Evidently this actually came out last year not long after the WiiFit was released.    I am surprised Jillian still wants her name associated with it.   The graphics are horrible (outdated almost), the game does not keep up with you - the ideas behind it are good - but a lot of the exercises do not even properly use the balance board.

Bugger!    I am thinking of taking it back to Tarjay and seeing if I can swap it for Jillian's 30 day shred DVD instead which has had great reviews.

9.4 miles

was perhaps a bit ambitious for my first bike ride in over a year yesterday.

It was such a beautiful day that Mike and I dragged out the bikes, wiped them down, pumped up the tyres, greased up the gears and set off - for *just a short ride*.     Famous last words!!   I do know - I am not as good at this ride as I once was.   I used to do it in 56 minutes - took over an hour yesterday, much slower speeds and lots more stops!

Let's just say my fanny (and that would be the american and the new zealand version) is TRES SORE today!

On another note - pretty historical day here in the US today - I feel very hopeful

another day spent outside

yesterday in the garden - and more of the same today.    The weather is just so incredible around here at the moment.   It has been like this for more than 10 days now - and the forecast for the next 10 days is pretty much the same.

Not sure what happened to our winter - beginning to wonder if we are going to get anything like a winter this year.    I have to say it is lovely - and so gorgeous being outside - makes me feel all healthy and want to do things.

The downside of course is that we are getting no rain.   Normally it is this time of year we get the most of our rain - and our reservoirs are dangerously empty.   Rainfall the last few years has been much lower than normal - and this year it is pretty much non-existent.   Of course that means summer will not be as much fun for boating etc - with the lakes so low.

They are already talking about water rationing happening now - in the middle of winter!!!

Computer woes

have been mine again!   My brand new hard drive that crashed a month or so ago but came back to life - has really bitten the dust.  Last time it was the Google sidebar that was causing the probs so I just stopped using Google side bar.   However it obviously did some long term damage.

So here I am again.... reloading all my software.

Why do I never learn to keep all my current software together - in an easily accessible place.   This time I will.  I am sick of finding the wrong disk, the old disk, the sample upgrade disk etc etc!!   AARGGHH   Now where did I put my $#%^$% quickbooks disk.    

Luckily my backups were great and I lost nothing.   Also luckily I am married to the best geek in the world who stayed up until 3am ripping out the old drive, putting in the new one, and reloading most of my stuff.   Thank you Mike!!    

However posting will be intermittent until I get everything back up and running, and then play catch up!

Happiness fulfilled

it has been so long we have waited for the new season!!!     Course Mike always has a giggle - as he sees the plugs for Cisco throughout - just like being at work for him!

Did I mention I love Kiefer.   Always have!!!   I will watch him in anything.   He has been in a lot more than just 24, Young Guns, Flatliners, Stand By Me and Lost Boys - there are some good other movies out there -  check him out  Kiefer

and I have the blisters to prove it....

not to mention lots of achey bits, sore hands and stiff back.     Beautiful weather here over the week - 70+ - more like spring than mid winter.     We have a tree that is ALWAYS the last one to dump its leaves - most years it is getting spring growth before it even sheds the leaves from the year before.    This last couple of weeks - we had a couple of frosts along with some brisk breezes and it brought damn near ALL the leaves down within a couple of days.   What a mess!!    

So Mike and I spent the whole weekend outside in the garden - getting rid of MOST of them, along with pruning roses, and cutting back other bushes.   The garden still does not look great but it certainly looks better.

We wound up having to hire a trailer and taking it all the dump!!

My teeth are falling out!!!

well no they are not FOR REAL - but in my dream last night - it felt like it was REAL!!  

It was horrible and very realistic - it woke me up in the end - as I felt like I was choking on all the broken and breaking teeth in my mouth!!  

I am off to the dentist today for my crown preparation FINALLY - so whether I was thinking about that I don't know.   I hate the dentist!!!!
