Musical Flashback - Cocteau Twins

I was adding some songs to my itunes list today when I ran across this.   I actually have the EP (yes a vinyl record) of this.   It was always one of my favourites and hearing it again - and then watching this video on youTube - it still is!   Just haunting - she has such a beautiful voice

 

LA and CHA - here we come!!

driving down today - the weather is gorgeous so it should be a lovely drive!

My righthand (wo)man Terri is with me, she has been a super duper helper and great friend, since Day 1 of my retreats - it will be so cool having her at CHA. The funny thing is - all her family think we are fibbing and not going to CHA at all, but really going to Disneyland *LOL*  I guess in a way we are - Scrapbooking Disneyland!!   We always have fun together though - so the forecast is a lot of laughter!

Circus Circus - the cafe and other photos

as for the song - did I mention Green Day were on the plane to NZ with me last week. They are performing in NZ next week! 

went to Circus Circus for brunch this morning followed by a quick visit to St Lukes as the boys needed a haircut, and the pax's needed some groceries.   then back here as Si and the kids were going out to see Gran and Uncle Chris.   They are back now and we are off to Nosh - a deli and then an early night tonight i think after last night!

Savouring Saturday

I am absolutely in love with Muse's new album "The Resistance".    Right now it is the soundtrack of my life!!... as in I play it over and over....it inspires me!

My absolute favourite song is Exogensis: symphony Part 1.   Not the usual title of a song you would expect to see on an alternative rock album is it??     This song is just beautiful.    There is no video out yet - but I found this on Youtube - that some clever person had made to go with the song.

I am, like so many others it seems, am loving Glee - the new show this season.   One of the freshest funniest things to come around in a long time!

Friday Funky Flashback - ELO !

heard this on satellite radio a couple of weeks back driving back from a day boating on the lake.   You should have seen us all in the car - bouncing around, seat dancing and singing!! ...     amazing I didn't jackknife the boat!! .... came home and downloaded it on i-tunes - and I have been playing it over and over

- it gets me going in the morning .. I dance.. I sing... I embarrass my kids !!!!
