**WW** Cosmo Cricket - Matilda - 6 winners!!

Well I am starting off this winners post - by jumping up and down with excitement because the All Blacks won the 2011 Rugby World cup!!   I think quite possibly it was one of the best games I have ever watched.   Adding here - I am now at the store - on just 3 hours sleep!!

Talk about down to the wire - we won 8-7 - the whole game was nailbiting - in fact I could hardly bear to watch when the score was SOOO close - I am sure I needed my heart restarted several times.

Well I wouldn't quite say that.   It is definitely bringing something though - flies??  *LOL*

Oh by the way - if you think the *stache has made his nose look a different shape - it's not the *stache... he broke it.. last week ... at rugby!

 

I had a dream.....

that it was Saturday, and I actually posted the **Wednesday Winner** on time.   Then i woke up... and realised ....

I did I did

I did see a puddy tat.. *LOL*

.... sorry I am falling over tired today... and several espressos, a vitamin B/D pill and a Berocca (magic normally) has done nothing to lessen the feeling of lead in my limbs and eyes and brain and and....

Things are sort of back on track around here.   i am still using the laptop, and hating the keyboard, and last night sadly said goodbye to my parents who flew back to New Zealand.   Seems very quiet around here today.   They have just landed in NZ - after the long flight, they will be pleased to be off the plane.. and have a short wait until their flight on to Christchurch .. my hometown.....moment of homesickness happening....

but never fear... as promised I am here... on the right day...

we just moved a friend in to help in the hard times so we got 4 kids to get up and out the door in the mornings while it's a juggle it has it's benefits and i look forward to scrap booking our busy school year!

HOLY MOLY - it takes a village!!

It takes a while to work that many winners out I can tell you - that is why this post is going up so late today!!    Well that is my excuse anyway ... and I am sticking to it. 

Well that - and the fact that I was up until 1am this morning - cos last night was crop night here.  We had a blast - we have such a great group - a lot of laughs, a lot of wonderful food and lots of scrapping!!

Then I was back up at 5am this morning.  Because at 7am we had a breakfast meetup for the New Zealand group to watch the first of the Bledisloe cup rugby matches - AKA the annual grudge match between Aussie and NZ - and we won.   No... we annihilated them... it was probably one of the best games of rugby I have watched in a long long time!    Ahhh Richie McCaw.. be still my heart!

THEN..

yes there is more ...

it was off to the airport to pick up my parents who flew in from New Zealand today and landed at lunchtime.    They are here for 3 weeks YAYYYYYY.   We should have been back home by around 1pm - but there were various stuff ups at the airport today and in the end we did not arrive home until 3 !!

Which put a bit of a kink in the plans as we had another NZer arriving over at 4pm to watch the rugby game - along with M&D who had not seen it cos they were on the plane!

So rewatching the game has just finished... and now I am here.... even though it is now Saturday night!!

As you can see it has been a rather busy 30 odd hours!

But without further ado... I will not make you wait any longer.

Ummm is there anyone still out there even listening to me????

HO HO HO - it's Shelley Christmas....

Well here it is nearly midday pacific time and I have not put up the post!!  ACK!    I actually started this at 6am would you believe, then stopped to watch the rugby with Mike while we had breakfast, then we started doing some tidy up around here - one thing lead to another and suddenly it was 11.45!

Obviously this Christmas giveaway was VERY popular and I can see I am not the only one that LOVE LOVE LOVES that time of year.   It is definitely my favourite by far - and I think when it comes to scrapbooking - Christmas scrapbooking goodies are also my favourite.    I have absolutely NO willpower when it comes to those, and buy them willy nilly - I am not sure I will live long enough to use all the papers and embellishments I have bought - and so many are so cute - I am not sure I can even bear to cut or use them!

Also many of you loved the Pohutukawa tree - so I thought I would post another photo - showing you a close up of the flowers that cover the tree when it is in bloom - they really are spectacular.

Woo hoo Deborah - way to go - you will have lots of fun playing with this - and you will be UBER organised in plenty of time for Christmas.   I can't wait to see what you make with this stuff.   Remember to send me some pics when you are done - so I can post it for all to see!

I mean I can't think of a better reason to go, than you won scrapbooking items for a trip like that - right??   It makes perfect sense - you have the scrappy items - you need to go to take photos so you can USE the items ;-)

I had a VERY busy and VERY long day yesterday playing nurse for Mike.   We were up at 5.30am to get him to the hospital.   We were back home by 9.30 - a little later than planned - as he did not take to the general that well.   A Whiter Shade of Pale comes to mind - cos that was the way he looked when I brought him home.   He slept on and off for most of the day - and finally got up around 4.30ish.   Had some light food which stayed down YAYY - and plenty to drink.   I am pleased to say he is doing much better - and came through everything fine - although is a pretty stiff, and swollen today.  I also had to get the youngest over to college at lunchtime, and then pick her up at 10.30pm last night when classes finished.    Then with the rugby on at 12.30 am - I did not get to bed until 3am!!   I am certainly running on empty today.  

But I digress - lets get on with choosing the winner of the goodies!!

Me.... well I will be playing Nurse Nightingale for most of the weekend - so I might even manage to get some crafting and scrapping in - yes I know you are shocked - I might shock you more and post things I have actually made with my own two little hands!!  

One thing I will be doing is sending away the goodies for a swap I am in.  It was fun - it was a turquoise swap.    I was surprised though - at how different that shade is depending on what you looked at.  After a while I was feeling confused as to just what the colour TURQUOISE was meant to be like!    I am pretty sure my partner in this does not read my blog, so here is a peek at what I am sending.    I just have to decorate a little birdhouse I want to send her as well - and then it is all ready to go!

oh yeah... and we WHOMPED the Springboks again 31-17 - will be interesting next week to see how the Springboks match up against the Wallabies!
